FINE MILLING

Fine milling refers to the process where plastic granules are shred through fine crushing or milling, to a particle size that is similar to powder. The powder is usually used for rotational moulding, master-batch production or for compounding.

In order to meet the constantly increasing quality requirements for flowability, bulk density and particle distribution, we have some of the most modern technologies to meet these requirements.

The production process is performed in a powder mill, where the material is cut into tiny pieces between two segments with some very fine blades.

The five segment mills we use have 1,440 blades distributed across 160 segments.

In addition to the five segment mills, we also have two blade mills that guarantee both the capacity and flexibility of milling various types of polymer.

Specially developed software

Each mill is controlled and regulated through our own, specially developed software, obtained from some logarithmic calculations based on the current status of the plant/mill.

We can deliver fine milling in a fineness of 2,500 – 500 μ. Our tried-and-tested concept has developed from hands-on experience to hands-on production over decades. The finished powder can be packaged in octabins, big bags, plastic or paper bags at the customer’s request.
